Bed and Breakfast in Woodstock
Right in the center of the Town of Woodstock, the house at Twin Gables was built in the 1880s as a private home on Tinker Street. It was established as a Boutique Hotel in 1926, when artists Mr. & Mrs. Alfred Daiber (of Brooklyn, NY) purchased the 19th-century home at the height of Woodstock's first flowering as a center for creative people.

It was an unprecedented time in Woodstock’s history — the beginning of the Byrdcliffe Arts Colony — which served as a Utopian artists’ community, attracting free-spirits and bohemians from around the world.

Our #littlearthotel was created by artists, for artists almost 100 years ago and with its revival in 2022, it continues to serve the creative community and beyond. We hope you enjoy staying in this historic landmark of the Hudson Valley!
OUR SERVICES
Breakfast
A complimentary continental breakfast of fresh fruit and baked goods is sourced locally and served fresh daily from 8:30am-10:30am in our lovingly restored historic kitchen. You may eat in our communal kitchen space or take breakfast upstairs on our sunny terrace by the tree canopy.
Tea + Coffee Bar

Enjoy our 24-hour complimentary tea and coffee bar, mini fridge access, and filtered water to refill your hydroflasks conveniently located in our parlor.
Garden
Stroll through our Secret Garden, drink your morning coffee in our private Gazebo, get cozy around our fire pit and spend time bird-watching on grounds, surrounded by native landscaping yet nestled in the heart of town. Be sure to ask our Innkeeper about Buddy, our neighborhood deer who visits daily!
Housekeeping
We clean and sterilize rooms in between guests. For complimentary touchups during your stay or to refresh towels and amenities, please ask the innkeeper.
Open Studio
Our newly renovated Wellness Terrace is a seasonal rooftop space for guests. Enjoy your daily yoga practice, salute the sun, or sip your morning coffee with a Mountain View. Our historic inn is the perfect setting for intimate yoga and meditation retreats.
Pet Policy
Twin Gables was originally a Victorian home built in the 1800s with a front door and a back door both leading to communal hallways. As a result, we do not allow pets.
There is no safe way to keep fur babies separate from the rest of the guests.

Don't forget to bring your hiking boots for the new Ashokan Rail Trail or traverse up Overlook Mountain, Wittenberg Mountain and Slide Mountain.

Hike up to the Tibetan Monastery for a tour or meditation, walk the sculptural trail at Opus 40, and visit the Woodstock Byrdcliffe Guild to see where it all began.

There's no shortage of talent on display. Check out The Center for Photography, the numerous local art galleries, or stroll through town to discover street art and hidden murals.

Want a local dive? Visiting The Station is a must! Love live music? Check out who's playing at The Colony or Levon Helm's Midnight Ramble. Craving a beer and local flavor? The Pub and Pearl Moon are right around the corner.
